Backups

Dedicated Server Manager can create a backup of your entire site, or all MySQL databases, which is then available for download at your convenience. This provides you with the flexibility to have the most recent backup of your site and mail.

To generate a backup:

  1. Click on the Backups link in the navigation area.

  2. Click on the Perform Full Backup or Perform Full MySQL link, as required. The backup may take a few minutes to become available. when the backup is displayed for download.

  3. The location and name of the backup file is now displayed for download - refer to .

After you have generated a backup file you can download it to your machine.

To download a backup file:

  1. Click on the Backups link in the navigation area.

  2. Click on the [Download] link next to the required file in the Current Backups area and save the file to your machine.

We recommend that all Domain / Account holders create and download a backup at least once per week.
