Get an HTML editor, (free ones can be found here) or check if your word processor that you use has a conversion to HTML option, 99% have, now a days.

Now onto your site creation.

SIMPLICITY : Keep it simple, a well laid out web site that is easy to navigate through will impress your user, that he could find his way around and he can understand the reason for the information on your pages.

ORGANISED : keep to having an index throughout your site, any page of entry can be a starting point. Most web site owners expect their traffic to always come through the home page, this is a falsity, only a small % of traffic needs to come through the home page, a Index or navigation map on all the pages will provide an easy navigational thread throughout the site, irrespective of page of entry.

CONCISE : keep your information on your pages, brief and informative, with varying selectable options to contact you for more pertinent information.

CONTACT : make it easy to be able to contact you, use your e-mail address, telephone number and street address. you got the visitor to your site, do not loose him because he does not know how to contact you.
